NUVO Productions, LLC was founded in 2007 with a simple goal - to create the most professional and well-respected dance events in the world. Leading the way was Executive Director, Ray Leeper, who was commited to bringing his many years of experience as a dance educator to the new company. With an extensive career spanning theatre, film, tv and music videos, Ray is regarded as one of the top choregraphers, teachers and overall dance visionaires in the country.

The first event created was NUVO, a unique dance workshop and competition. The diverse faculty includes Broadway stars to music video dancers and choreographers. The event is "narrated" by a live DJ who plays throughout the workshop and performances. Altough it's a new event, NUVO has already created a buzz in the dance industry for its innovative approach to dance conventions.

In the summer of 2008, NUVO faculty member Justin Giles created SoulEscape. SoulEscape – The Workshop is a week-long event which includes classes and rehearsals with some of the best teachers in the contemporary dance industry. Participants will get the unique opportunity to experience what it’s like to put on a live concert dance performance alongside the SoulEscape Professional Dance Company.

As NUVO Productions embarks on its journey, there is no doubt it is destined to become a preeminent force in the dance industry.
